what happened to Bob was tragic. He tought Jesse was his hero then when he meets the person and actually knows the person, he is anything but a hero. Jesse's not what Bob imagined him to be. What Bob have read in his books. That turned him against Jesse.

I don't know. Jesse is portrayed as a bully and not worthy of his acclaim. Look, he takes that one kid and beats the hell out of him. There's no valor there. The guy in the railroad car that Jesse was about to kill was FAR more heroic because he told Jesse to MAKE HIM get on his knees. If anything, I felt bad for RObert not Jesse. His hero wasn't real, the image came crashing down but still he felt real guilt over the betrayal. But hey, Jesse had to go.

Don't forget that Jesse was a terrorist with Quantrill's Raiders (i call him that because they massacred unarmed soldiers and civilians.) To me, that was worse really than Jesse's robberies but he also killed defenseless people. HE was no damn hero.

i personal think jesse did what he thought was right at the time. i mean the railroad was taking land from all these peoples for not even close to what it was worth. he was only gettenback at those who hurt his family and friends. and his life like anyone else people look up to thire life is blown up so much it isn't even funny. i just belive at the start he was doing good by the end he was so far into to stop. i still think he was in it for the good not the bad.

as for well when i watched this movie didnt want him to die ether he was fear liked al capone, but still he feels like a hero to me. Jesse james is as brave as william wallace of the scotts. he knew he was gonna die and here he dies with honor.... honor..... wit guns off and realling to die. The way he died is the most respectfull way and god soul way of dieing. if i was gonna die i would follow his foot steps

do keep in mind that there is no proof whatsoever that Jesse James actually KNEW he was going to die. there are many theories as to why Jesse James took his guns off-the blurred shot at 2:03 suggests that the truth surrounding his death is ambiguous and obscure.
also, he was a cold-blooded murderer and didn't actually look like brad pitt.
and being shot in the back of the head isn't what most people would call a 'respectfull' way to die.(the word is respectable, by the way)

thanks for agreeing. i'm realated to rob roy some call him robinhood for what he did others have other names for him. i belive we shouldn't juged these people unless we knew them. for those stories we will never know what was true or not. we need to undestand that at this time it was hard. my great grandma grew up around this time and she told us you did what ya had to do to get by. i could say i would say i would doalmost the same stuff he did.
