Please fill me in on the history of the notch block! Not all clevelands are the same now are they. Also, how many purpose built Clevelands came to Australia specifically for race cars. How many were cast in Australia also. There are many versions including the 400 ci square block!

The imported US Cleveland's were all fitted to GT's with the large port 4V heads whereas the Australian built Cleveland's were all built with small port heads known as 2V's but retained the 4V designation due to the Australian 4 venturi manifold with small port inlets.

the car in the movie did not have a super charger it was totally fake! super chargers can not be turned off and on! This Car is again a FAKE thats not a real Super Charger SUPR CHARGERS CAN NOT BE TURNED ON AND OFF CONSTANT DRIVE AS THEY ARE POWERED OFF THE CRANK 600 HORSEPOWER MY Ass Its a freakin smallblock ford your lucky if its putting out 200 horse 100 at the back wheels get a Big Block and forget the stupid movie fantasy shit

Of course can superchargers be turned on/off. In fact, in the first supercharged cars (Mercedes) you had to engage it by yourself.

Ha ha ha! DO SOME RESEARCH FIRST BEFORE MAKING BOLD STATEMENTS.
Of course it is possible! Would there be a point? No. Someone has already tried this setup. With the supercharger on it ran fine, but with it off it would run very sluggish, due to the compression.
The guy has done a splendid job with the car. Why do idiots like you come on here & knock someones little dream.

The supercharger in the movie car was indeed a fake, it was just the hollowed out blower case. As far as it being POSSIBLE to rig some sort of device to turn the blower on/off, no doubt it COULD be done, but it would make the engine run so terrible to basically the point of barely running at all, which is why engines so equipped don't have that little novelty option.

If your in the UK just get a ford Granada, thats what Im gonna do. It's exactly the same body work but with a smaller engine. Try looking for a 1980's one on ebay prices start about 300
