Oh yeah - smash up derby... one of the few toys I ever owned where other kids wanted to come to my house LOL
Have to chuckle at the projection toy. Come on, could you imagine any kids today entertained by that? They'd just be asking "Where's the wii?"

dont you realize that every generation since adam and eve has said that THIER generation/toys/music/whatever, was far superior to the current? each genration has its good and bad and lots of people wish it was like before but no one is willing to do what it takes to make it that way. would you be willing to give up your computer, cell phone or video games to make life simpler? i think not.

in the 1960s, we pilfered my friends dads plastic car cover to make a slip and slide and did we ever have fun. that is..until he discovered it missing and took it back. today, it would be a blatant waste of water but there are more water efficient toys out there, similar to it, that we can buy.

Lol man I forgot about this stuff. I knew someone who had Bing Bang Boing it was wierd.
And the SSPs and smash up derby was fun but u usually had to play with them in the driveway because that howling noise pissed off moms trying to watch their Soaps.
I also seem to remember a a racer that ran by putting a blown up balloon on the top or a water balloon.

I had Bing Bang Boing, though it was called "Cascade" when I had it. You did have to have a knack for geometry to use it, but once you got it set it, it got boring pretty quick.
