I love this film but feel they made a mess of the Final Cut. I thought they made Batty a bit too zany with his added lines and the fact that he now says "I want more life, father" as opposed to "I want more life, fucker." Tyrell's assassination was far colder before. Also, the cleaning up of the image quality actually hurts the atmosphere - Final Cut looks a lot less polluted than the Director's Cut. Soundtrack sounds very, very clean too.

When the dove flies towards the sky, symbolizing Roy's soul departing to presumably heaven, there's a sense of "incertitude", caused by a cloudy landscape and megalithic buildings, that are like trying to impede his ascension.
Even in the little details such this, Blade Runner is rich of philosophical and religious meaning, charged with a huge sense of inner sadness, reflected by this vast and dark metropolis.

"Time to die" what an amazing scene, this will live with me to the day i die. My favourite sci-fi film ever. Vangelis background music aswell fits this perfectly.

An incredible, time-tested and brilliant film. One of the best. This scene is particularly poignant and powerful. Got the new Final Cut version. Love it. I used to prefer the original theatrical version with narration, now I prefer the director's/final cut.

Well I'm agnostic on the questions of gods, souls and aferlifes. Listening to what is said in the soliloquy is all sounds rather sad and seems to suggest an eternal end.

Brilliant cinematography at its finest. Definitely the most poignant and emotional moment in the movie and my personal favorite scene. It brings me to tears almost every time I watch it. It changed the entire scope of the ending and was the most redeeming scene. Why? Because to me Roy learned forgiveness and applied it with one of the last physical actions of his life. He demonstrated sympathy when he had no other reason to save Deckard's life. So much redeeming meaning that we can learn from.

After making what was considered the seminal Sci-Fi thriller 'Alien', Ridley Scott surpassed even that with this magnificent film which I highly recommend to everyone. especially if you have a good sound system or headset. Bladerunner is to film as Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon' is to music. Classic, everlasting and always enjoyable! A masterpiece!
