But in regards to pitchfork, Brianjonestown is right, they are a sham, and over hype the hell out of everything. Im a big Modest Mouse fan, but I still struggle to understand how they rated the moon and the antarctica a 10! people dont open their eyes, they look to pitchfork for 'assured' advice.

Well there's the problem. I only counted people with a brain. No one else matters of course, haha. When I said top 10 lists I mean on all the big places like emusic and even pitchfork. Either people who do matter or by a vote kinda thing. fleet foxes are on their third album though. I think. I think it's three, two EPs and this LP, is that right?

I've just recently discovered thwm, but as far as I know it's just the 1 EP and 1 LP. They have a long, long way to go, but I think the LP is so strong consistently, and confident. I feel they are unique. I can see where comparassons could be drawn, but they impliment those in their own way, much like the shins did on Oh Inverted World, there are times while listening to both that you think you could be in the 60's you know what I mean?

I saw the FF's last night. WOW! They were utterly amazing. The live version of this song, especially, doesn't even touch the studio version. Robin is a legend.

They gave it a 9.8, not a 10, but you get marks for trying.
My view on Pitchfork is that if they like and album, there's a good chance that it's good, then I can judge it myself. I rarely actually read the full reviews because they are so overwrought and self righteous that I feel like I don't get a sense on why that person enjoys the music. It's more about how many Pixies references they can pick up.

It wasn't this song that made me aware of Fleet Foxes. It was I believe "Country House" from their EP and a song or two I heard at a record shop awhile back. It's a relief to hear anybody creating music with strong melodies and harmonies. Not that it's all I listen to ,but, I sure appreciate it when it happens.
