Humans are not omnivores. Omnivore is a blanket term that does nothing to identify real food. Consider the diseases meat contributes to: higher incidences of gall stones, kidney stones, diverticulitis, diabetes, heart disease, liver disease, acne, cancer, gout, bone diseases, ecopsychopathologies, obesity, anxiety, depression, shorter life expectancy, lower IQ, ph, sperm counts. Fruit/veg reverse effects of each of these maladies. Meat is not real food, it was a fallback food during the ice age.

There is no reason we, as omnivores, can't eat 30 grams of fiber per day. The example you're giving happens, but is not a realistic representation. As usual.
And medical thinking on diverticulitis still considers griding of lettuce, seeds and nuts as a potential cause.
The fluid intake increase is by far the most important of those three listed. By far.
